Another facility that got moved is the Country Fire Authority's District 2 Headquarters, from atop Bendigo's Fire Station to the site of the old Don Murray's Windermere Hotel, at the corner of Lockwood Road and Helm Street. Lansell Square is a shopping centre, located on Calder Highway to the south. William Drive Playspace, Kangaroo Flat Botanical Gardens, and Rotary Gateway Park are some local parks in Kangaroo Flat.
